Karl lives in Logan, Utah with his wife Kathryn Misener Ward. They raised their six children in Cache Valley and are blessed with eighteen grandchildren. Karl received a BSdegree from Utah State University and an MBA from Utah State University. His working career has been in the finance arena. He was an adjunct professor of finance at USUfor 25 years and recently retired as a banker from Zions Bank after 39 years.
He has been active in the community having served on the Logan City Planning Commission for 13 years and the Logan City Council for 4 years. He is currently serving as a member of the Cache County Council and serves on several boards including The American West Heritage Center, the Logan Economic Development Committee, The Logan/Cache Airport Authority Board, The Governing Board of The Bear River Association of Governments, and other committees.
He and his wife Kathy developed and have presented personal budgeting and finance plans which have worked very well throughout their married lives. They have learned the importance of and the meaning of living providently and with self -reliance.
