Roland Parent Bio

Born and raised in a small New England town in Northern Maine. President Parent and his wife, Glenda along with their six children joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on May 22, 1988. The Parent family moved to Nibley, Utah on May 29, 2000. He was called to serve as bishop of the Nibley 4th ward. Three and a half years later he was called to serve as Stake President of the Nibley Utah Stake. He served as Stake President for nine and a half years and was released in June 2016.

President Parent recently retired as Deputy Director of the Substance Abuse Division as well as an Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counselor at Bear River Health Department on May 31, 2017. His degree in Behavioral Science. President Parent has 27 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He continues to reside in Nibley Utah with his sweet wife. They enjoy being empty nesters in these latter-days. He and his wife are serving as nursery leaders in their ward.
