Licensed family therapist at LDS Family Services and Cedar Point Counseling.  I work with individuals, couples, families.  I am a group facilitator for a woman’s trauma group, Brene Brown’s Connections group, and Addo recovery groups, and women’s well-being group.

Roland Parent Bio

Born and raised in a small New England town in Northern Maine. President Parent and his wife, Glenda along with their six children joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on May 22, 1988. The Parent family moved to Nibley, Utah on May 29, 2000. He was called to serve as bishop of the Nibley 4th ward. Three and a half years later he was called to serve as Stake President of the Nibley Utah Stake. He served as Stake President for nine and a half years and was released in June 2016.

President Parent recently retired as Deputy Director of the Substance Abuse Division as well as an Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counselor at Bear River Health Department on May 31, 2017. His degree in Behavioral Science. President Parent has 27 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He continues to reside in Nibley Utah with his sweet wife. They enjoy being empty nesters in these latter-days. He and his wife are serving as nursery leaders in their ward.

Robert Devere Harris Bio

Born in the idyllic farming community of Portage Utah in 1950, Robert rode his horse to school and conducted chemistry experiments in the families’ kitchen during the evenings. After serving a two-year mission for his church in Australia, he attended Brigham Young University and graduated three years later.

Then moving to Sacramento, he founded Harris Research, the parent company of Chem-Dry. Employing over 50,000 people in 50 countries, Chem-Dry became the largest in-home service company in the world. The corporation was also consistently ranked by Entrepreneur magazine as the top service company in the world and one of the top ten franchise opportunities for ten years in a row. He remained sole owner and CEO for 20 years. Retiring but not expiring at the age of 45, Chem-Dry was sold and is now owned by Home Depot.

Robert is an avid pilot with over 8,000 hours flying his corporate jets to destinations all over the world. He has owned and flown four fighter jets, helicopters, sea planes, and antique bi-planes. He formed Harris Air Inc. which buys and sells corporate jets. He founded and currently operates numerous businesses engaged in real estate, publishing, antique sales, car dealerships, exercise and medical devices, has been featured on CNN headline news. His latest ventures include: loaning money to PitBull, the rapper, to purchase a Gulfstream III Jet, purchasing and renovating 19 foreclosed homes in San Diego, which employs over 60 workers and allows buyers to purchase a virtually new home for an old home price. His passion, however, is inventing. He has most recently developed a totally new gym concept that will revolutionize the way people view and perform exercise. Kubex Fitness operates 4 locations in Utah and is beginning to franchise worldwide.

 

Robert has served on 3 High Councils, 3 Bishoprics, as a Stake Executive Secretary, and is now active in the church serving in Youth Sunday School. He is married to Terri Thorpe Harris, who is a graduate of Brigham Young University Law School, a licensed attorney, and a stay at home mom. They have nine children, pick an age! Despite all his success in business and inventing, he claims that his greatest accomplishments are never borrowing money, never working a weekend, rarely traveling without his family, and being home almost every night for family dinner. As a philanthropist and unpaid consultant, he has helped thousands of people start their own businesses and achieve their dreams.

Mike Cooley Bio

Bro. Cooley was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. After graduation from Dorsey High School, he attended BYU where he received a bachelor of science degree in anthropology and sociology, a meter of science degree in sociology and a doctorate in educational administration. Between his under graduate and graduate degrees he served as a missionary in the Southwest Indian Mission. Throughout his life, he has had many wonderful church callings. He was also employed as a teacher and administrator in the Church Educational System for 35 years until his retirement in 2010. Bro. Cooley was married in 1975 to Elisabeth Wilson in the Los Angeles Temple. They have seven children and fourteen grandchildren.

Bro. Cooley has taught and studied extensively in the standard works of the church. He has also taught classes in the Family Proclamation, Marriage, Doctrines of the Gospel, Church History, and World Religions. For several years he delivered the lecture proper to the Martin Harris

Michael Dunn Bio

Michael Dunn is the Managing Director of BYU Broadcasting in Provo, Utah. He previously served as the General Manager of KUED Channel 7 where he oversaw the operations of this highly regarded PBS affiliate in Salt Lake City. Prior to his public television experience, he founded and operated Dunn Communications, Inc, a Salt Lake City advertising agency, and film production company for 16 years. Among his peer distinctions are a gold and silver medal from the New York Film Festival and four CLIOs–an award considered the “Oscar” of the advertising industry. He also garnered two Emmy nominations–one of which earned the Emmy Award for public service in 1992 from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. In the spring of 2000, he was honored by the American Advertising Federation, Utah Chapter, as the inaugural recipient of the Advertising Professional of the Year Award.

Michael spent 13 years as a senior writer and producer for Bonneville Communications where he worked on the highly-acclaimed Homefront campaign for the LDS Church, and Fotheringham & Associates (now Richter 7). He began his career as a freelance print journalist and later moved to the broadcast side working in radio and television as a reporter and producer. Dunn graduated from the University of Utah where he received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication. Professionally he also has earned an APR certificate from the Public Relations Society of America.

He has written and directed several documentary films for public television including, Shared Vision, In Those Days, and Flagship in the Desert. He also wrote and directed Karl Malone’s Body Shop, a four-volume exercise video series featuring NBA legend Karl Malone. His service in the church includes a full-time mission in the Hawaii Honolulu Mission, Gospel Doctrine teacher, Varsity Scout Leader, Bishop of the University 27th Ward (married students), Stake President of the Salt Lake University 2nd Stake and Stake President of the Holladay Young Single Adult Stake. His most recent service opportunity was as Mission President of the South Africa Johannesburg Mission.

Michael and Linda have three children and six grandchildren and reside in the Neff’s Canyon Ward of the Salt Lake Mount Olympus Stake. A devoted runner, cross-country skier, and cyclist, he has completed more than 30 marathons and other endurance events including the Boston Marathon and the St. George Ironman triathlon.

Karl B. Ward Bio

Karl lives in Logan, Utah with his wife Kathryn Misener Ward. They raised their six children in Cache Valley and are blessed with eighteen grandchildren. Karl received a BSdegree from Utah State University and an MBA from Utah State University. His working career has been in the finance arena. He was an adjunct professor of finance at USUfor 25 years and recently retired as a banker from Zions Bank after 39 years.
He has been active in the community having served on the Logan City Planning Commission for 13 years and the Logan City Council for 4 years. He is currently serving as a member of the Cache County Council and serves on several boards including The American West Heritage Center, the Logan Economic Development Committee, The Logan/Cache Airport Authority Board, The Governing Board of The Bear River Association of Governments, and other committees.

He and his wife Kathy developed and have presented personal budgeting and finance plans which have worked very well throughout their married lives. They have learned the importance of and the meaning of living providently and with self -reliance.

John L Fowles Bio

John L Fowles received his BS and MA degrees from Brigham Young University and a PHD from the University of Missouri-Columbia in Social Foundations of Education, with an emphasis in Religious Studies. John retired from the LDS church Educational system after thirty-eight years of service.

John was an associate editor for The New Testament (1998), Book of Mormon (1999), Church History (2004), and Old Testament (2005) for Latter Day Saint Families series. Some of his other publications include “Zenos’ Prophetic Allegory of Israel”, in a Symposium on the Book of Mormon (1986), The Jewish Lectionary and Book of Mormon Prophecy”, in Journal of Book of Mormon Studies 3 (Fall 1994) and “John’s Prophetic Vision of God and the Lamb”, in SBSS (1998). Recently John published The Farmboy does it Again: Evidences of the prophetic calling of Joseph Smith.

Brother Fowles has served for many years in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a gospel doctrine instructor, in elder’s quorum, high priest group leadership positions, on high council, as a bishop, and as a counselor in two stake presidencies. John and his wife Debbie reside in Providence, Utah, have five children and thirteen grandchildren.

Dennis D. Wildman Bio

Bishop Dennis Wildman is a native of Logan, UT. He is married to the love of his life, Lynette Wildman, who is also a native of Logan, Utah. They have three wonderful children: Natosha, a 24 year old young lady who came to Dennis and Lynette at the perfect time in their lives, Kinkade a 20-year-old young man who also shares a deep passion for sports, and finally Kenya who is 15 and is Dennis’ ‘little sweetheart’. Dennis and Lynette now are proud to have two sons since Natosha married Brandon Taukei’aho December 14, 2013. Denis is proud of his little granddaughter. Natosha and Brandon have brought an additional little bundle of joy to their family: Aiena Melavea Lineti Taukei’aho.

Dennis received his Bachelors of Science from Utah State University in Psychology while participating in college athletics on a football scholarship. He later received a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. Dennis’ focused area of study while at the University of Utah was in health care management and medical social work.

Dennis has 29 plus years of expertise as a Certified Social Worker, with extensive experience in individual, family counseling, and group support services. He has spent the last 22 years with an emphasis in the health care field. He is currently employed by Sunshine Terrace Foundation and recently was promoted to “Alliance Director”. Dennis’ duties focus on delivery of services in of all six of Sunshine Terrace Foundation’s companies while developing strategic alliances with allied health care agencies.

Dennis presently serves as the Bishop of his home ward the Dry Canyon Ward, in the Mount Logan Stake. Dennis has served as the Young Men’s President two times and he feels this really help prepare him to be the bishop. Dennis has served as a High Councilor in a Young Adult Stake, while also presiding over ten stakes as the Coordinating Council for Sports in Northern Utah.

As a native of Logan, Utah, and born and raised just five blocks south of Sunshine Terrace Foundation, Dennis has a vested interest as the Foundation serves many of the individual and families that were a part of his upbringing. Dennis was born in to the Covent but was not raised in the church. Dennis was raised in a family where alcoholism was very prevalent. This is why Dennis often can be heard saying If you think your neighbors don’t have a problem you don’t know your neighbors.

While leading and guiding as the Alliance Director at Sunshine Terrace Foundation and also as the bishop of his ward he often can be heard asking, “If this were your family, what would we do?” As a Medical Social Worker, he offers a wide range of Outreach and Aftercare Social Work skills and resources in an effort to bridge the needs of the patient’s families and facilities with that of our local and state community. Dennis’ management style is much like his athletic background, a Team Unity and Strengths Perspective model, where we identify people’s strengths and create an environment for Success.

Amy Seal Bio

Amy Stevens Seal is the founder and CEO of The Love Experts Inc. and The LDS Matchmaker. Her training with world-renowned industry experts, over fifteen years of corporate recruiting, and an MBA from BYU have all given Amy deep professional experience. However, her real schooling and wisdom has come from conquering the debilitating heartbreak and doubt she has faced through many discouraging trials.

Although she was faithful to her marriage covenants, in her late twenties Amy found herself divorced and “single again” after a temple marriage. Then, at the age of thirty-eight, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and as a result of the chemotherapy, she struggled with infertility issues. However, Amy never gave up on her dreams and, after beating cancer, she continued in faith and hope to develop her profession and social connections. Amy’s experiences led her to launch the largest LDS-focused matchmaking and date coaching firm in the world. Through her business, she has had the privilege of assisting hundreds of singles achieving their relationship goals.

After thirteen years of being “single again”, Amy found her prince charming, Derek. She and her husband live in gratitude for the gifts of hope, faith and perseverance gained through their trials. Amy is now the proud step-mother of Derek’s six wonderful children-and against all odds, at the age of forty-four, they had twin boys in November 2016.
